Stamping Pals Challenge #5 - My Favorite Bundle!

I always love looking through the new annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  This one has a special treat which just seems handpicked for me!  The "Nothing's Better Than" stamp set has awesome saying for those who love Coffee, Cocktails, Chocolate and COOKIES!  Since I started my own cookie business two years ago, I've been including handcrafted cards with each order as my thank you.  Now I have THE MOST AWESOME design ever!  I make amazingly delicious ginger snaps (in Original and in Spicy versions).  They are like none you've ever tasted.  And this stamp set is absolutely perfect for me.  Love, love, love!

I did use the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper because, well, I have lived on a tiny tropical island for 28 years and my packaging and logo reflect that fact.  So, this is definitely my new favorite card, my new favorite bundle, and I'm happy combining my love for papercrafting with my crazily delicious cookies.  Oh, and my delicious cookies are available…

Stampingpals Challenge #4

The Stampingpals Challenge used a color combination as the our challenge for June:  Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, and Terracotta Tile.  These challenges are so fun, and we'd love for you to join in.

I'm totally in love with this new stamp set which will be available to all in a few weeks with our new 2020-2021 annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  The set is Tasteful Touches and has nine stamps (5 images and 4 sayings).  This set is more "artsy" than I usually choose, and it's lots of fun to just play!  Gotta say, I've been playing for two days now.  😍
And although I haven't used Terracotta Tile hardly at all since the color was released, I think it's lovely and I'm going to give it more attention.

Stampingpals Challenge #3

The Stampingpals Challenge theme for May is birthdays.

I've seen a sneak peek of the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog and it's amazing.  As usual.  But it gives me a reason to visit some of my favorite sets that are retiring or already retired.  If I love a set, I keep it a very long time!  This mermaid set is a keeper!  The inside of this card says:  have a magical birthday.

I made this creation for my daughter who has recently graduated college and is now working her first "real" job in the mainland.  She grew up on Saipan where we have crystal blue waters and amazing dive spots.  Some day she'll come back to visit.  This island is small but it is so very special.  And it's home.

Make a birthday card today.  Or just a Thinking of You.  It's a great way to brighten someone's day during this pandemic.  Spread a little cheer!

Daisy card for Mother's Day

I have lots of time to stamp lately so I'm trying to share more as well.  This card combines retired products with new items!  Just because an item is retired doesn't mean it's not just as wonderful as the new stuff!  This was easy and fun and could be done in so many colors and themes.

The ribbon and embellishments in the center of the daisies are retired.  The Designer Paper is new, and in a "men's golf bundle" so I'm happy to use it in a Mother's Day design!

Don't forget your mom this year!  Our mail has been so slow get it mailed early...

Stampingpals Challenge #2

For the month of April, the challenge is a sketch (see below).  It's a pretty easy one but that's just as well since life has been turned upside down for all of us during the COVID-19 pandemic.  I'm doing my part by staying in and keeping safe, and I feel blessed to be on an island where we have no confirmed cases.  So, I'm stamping as much as I like!

I'm going to miss these adorable stamp sets from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration special.  I love the Umbrella set and punch with the Hostess-only Ladybug set.  I use this yearly Sale-a-bration sale to stock up on my card stock, adhesives, and to purchase my 12-month subscription to the amazing monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  I love getting FREE stamping supplies!!

The only blessing from this time off of work is that I'm sending many cards to friends and family.  I hope these cards cheer them a bit and remind them how much they are loved.

Stampingpals Challenge #1

Well, I'm trying more new things lately than I expected!  Kylie Page from Australia made participation in a monthly stamping challenge sound like SO MUCH FUN that I said yes.  Check out the full challenge at to see what others have created.

This first challenge was challenging for me...

Challenge #1 was to use Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green on one card.  Sounds easy, right?  Well, I'm the queen of monochromatic and neutral colored cards but  bright colors?  Not so much my thing.  But I'm so happy I joined this because I **love** the result.  The card is bright and happy and even has some bling.  What else could a gal ask for?

This project highlights this years Sale-A-Bration products from Stampin' Up!  I used the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, the Small Blooms punch, and the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Can't wait until the next challenge!

I'm back, and starting with something new

I'm a long time stamper and haven't blogged in ages.  I teach a monthly card class on the third Saturday of every month.  This year I decided to add a new technique or trick to one project each month so that my guests always have a new challenge and inspiration.
For February, it was this meerkat card with a small pop up on the side.  It's super easy to do and yet so impressive!  All stamps by (C) Stampin' Up!
