Daisy card for Mother's Day

Image
I have lots of time to stamp lately so I'm trying to share more as well.  This card combines retired products with new items!  Just because an item is retired doesn't mean it's not just as wonderful as the new stuff!  This was easy and fun and could be done in so many colors and themes. The ribbon and embellishments in the center of the daisies are retired.  The Designer Paper is new, and in a "men's golf bundle" so I'm happy to use it in a Mother's Day design! Don't forget your mom this year!  Our mail has been so slow get it mailed early... Medium daisy punch Country Club Designer Series Paper

Stampingpals Challenge #2

For the month of April, the challenge is a sketch (see below).  It's a pretty easy one but that's just as well since life has been turned upside down for all of us during the COVID-19 pandemic.  I'm doing my part by staying in and keeping safe, and I feel blessed to be on an island where we have no confirmed cases.  So, I'm stamping as much as I like! I'm going to miss these adorable stamp sets from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration special.  I love the Umbrella set and punch with the Hostess-only Ladybug set.  I use this yearly Sale-a-bration sale to stock up on my card stock, adhesives, and to purchase my 12-month subscription to the amazing monthly Paper Pumpkin kits.  I love getting FREE stamping supplies!! The only blessing from this time off of work is that I'm sending many cards to friends and family.  I hope these cards cheer them a bit and remind them how much they are loved. Stampingpals Challenge #1

Well, I'm trying more new things lately than I expected!  Kylie Page from Australia made participation in a monthly stamping challenge sound like SO MUCH FUN that I said yes.  Check out the full challenge at  http://www.stampingpals.com/  to see what others have created. This first challenge was challenging for me... Challenge #1 was to use Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green on one card.  Sounds easy, right?  Well, I'm the queen of monochromatic and neutral colored cards but  bright colors?  Not so much my thing.  But I'm so happy I joined this because I **love** the result.  The card is bright and happy and even has some bling.  What else could a gal ask for? This project highlights this years Sale-A-Bration products from Stampin' Up!  I used the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, the Small Blooms punch, and the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper. Can't wait until the next challenge!

I'm back, and starting with something new

I'm a long time stamper and haven't blogged in ages.  I teach a monthly card class on the third Saturday of every month.  This year I decided to add a new technique or trick to one project each month so that my guests always have a new challenge and inspiration. For February, it was this meerkat card with a small pop up on the side.  It's super easy to do and yet so impressive!  All stamps by (C) Stampin' Up!
